2007 Long Cruise

Escapade looking good under sail! Barbara Strong seems to be saying, "Wow, I coulda had a V8!" Oh, wait, she IS having a glass of V-8...
Celtic Pride does a little wing-on-wing sailing.. First Mate Lynn has this thing about matching T-shirts whenever they go to fleet events or sailing...Cap'n Hubby just grimaces and says, "Yes, Dear"
Don Conner relaxes after a hard day sailing and dealing with First Mate Lynn (just kidding!) John Jennings looks every inch the captain in charge at the helm of Escapade
Barbara Strong took this lovely picture of Cheri Lynn under sail....to bad she wasn't going very far very fast! Note First Mate Lynn taking a picture of Barbara taking a picture of Barbara taking a picture of Cheri Lynn! Barbara Strong and Don Conner engaged in a lively theological discussion on Sunday morning. John Jennings and Lynn Thornton-Conner, for the most part, just sat back and watched and listened.
Don takes his turn at "Shut the Box" a game the Tierney's brought along and he quickly learned and beat them at...talk about "beginner's luck!" Don and Dave enjoy a quiet conversation talking about this and that.
Don and Lynn are just cruising along on Cheri Lynn Celtic Pride is looking good under sail
Cheri Lynn at the Pier of Tidewater Marina Ian and Dave look a bit befuddled by Don's easy first win!
Celtic Pride plays tag with a freighter in the channel. She made it safely out of the channel before the freighter, Gypsum Baron, passes. After a great day's sailing, John and Barbara relax in the cockpit of Cheri Lynn with Don and Lynn.
Dragging her dinghy behind her, Cheri Lynn heads towards Middle River and the Long Cruise has begun! Like most young men, young Ian Tierney has a empty leg or two to stuff for plenty of snacks!
We took a picture of the sign outside of Tidewater Marina. The building itself is of recent construction. Young Ian kind of looks bored with Reverend Dad and Reverend Don's conversation between boat stuff and church stuff......
Cheri Lynn and from Fleet 8, Event Horizon with Jeff and Karen McKinney. The new marina office and chandlery at Tidewater Marina
Jerry enjoys a donut and coffee! Walt strikes a "Captain Morgan" (Spice Rum) pose as he drinks his juice (or was it coffee??)
Even though she rides them every day back and forth to work, Lynn rarely gets tired of looking at trains going by. In this case, it's the very MARC trains she rides to work, this one on its way to Perryville, the final destination.
